Kadalundi is a village
in Kozhikode district, Kerala, India. It is a coastal village close to the
Arabian Sea. Kadalundi is famous for its bird sanctuary, which is home to
various migratory birds during certain seasons and has been recently declared
as a bio-reserve. The Kadalundi–Vallikkunnu Community Reserve is the first
community reserve in Kerala. The Kadalundi River and the Chaliyar river, two of
the longest rivers of Kerala, merges with the Arabian Sea at Kadalundi. The
first railway line in Kerala was laid in 1861 from Tirur to Chaliyam through
Tanur, Parappanangadi, Vallikkunnu, and Kadalundi.

shares the borders with Kozhikode corporation and feroke municipality.kadalundi
is a part of kozhikode urban area master plan.
This homestay is
located at Vallikkunnu Gramapanchayath , Balathuruthy - a small island where
only 3 homes are there. This homestay is the traditional home of Mr.Sreejith
and family,fishermen by profession for generations together.
Kadalundi railway
track is very near. The homestay consist of 2 well appointed rooms with kitchen
and common batheroom ideal for families to stay for vacation.
Tourists are provided
home cooked food with fish from river nearby. Muzzles and oysters are availble
here in plenty. Chaliyam beach is very near. You get good fish to eat also
seafood.
Upto 10 people can
stay here, bachelors also can come and stay here. Two small huts are behind the
homestay. It is surrounded by river from all sides.
The homestay has no
air-condition, it is traditional home. Boating facility is also available on
demand. Upto 10 people can travel in a single boat.
